Automazione Industriale

With the development of network and telecommunication technologies, advanced communication infrastructure has rapidly spread to other sectors of the industry. As a result, various attempts to introduce Ethernet and TCP/IP to factory floors by combining industrial communication technologies used in controlling, monitoring or data acquisition, and IT (Information Technologies) characterized by voice/data/screen communication, can be found in various practical applications.

Traditionally, factory automation systems have been lead by manufacturers, and as a result, communication methods and protocols have tended to emphasize real-time control, stability and reliability rather than interoperability. However, as standard Ethernet and TCP/IP technologies were introduced to the scene of industry alongside rapid development and expansion of Ethernet technologies, such tendencies have begun to change.

The established industrial bus standards existing in various forms are reinforcing real-time adaptability and reliability and switching to Ethernet bases. The Ethernet based systems are also being improved upon to make them endure in harsh factory environments.

By introducing low-cost, standard Ethernet and TCP/IP technologies with an existing infrastructure to devices such as PLC, sensors and controllers in the factory floor, added value such as remote control, setup facilitation, lowered costs, system efficiency, as well as prospective added value resulting from interdisciplinary usage and integration of established business systems, is anticipated.

Further, Industrial Bluetooth products such as Bluetooth Serial Adapters, Bluetooth Serial Modules and Bluetooth Access Points are designed to replace RS-232 serial cables with wireless connectivity with advanced options such as Bluetooth 1.2 Protocol Stack that includes Adaptive Frequency-hopping spread spectrum (AFH), software-free configuration support via an external dip-switch, Pairing button for instant configuration of an automatic connection between two Parani devices, and flexible power options.

They are ideal for industrial applications that require data logging, wireless sensor control and monitoring in production facilities.

Application Areas

  • Remote management of the various equipments on the factory floor
  • Remote work program transfer for the PLC and the robot on the factory floor
  • Sensor data acquisition and monitoring
